Feeding Instructions

How to use our chicken bone broth

For everyday use and maintenance we recommend :

Small – Medium Pets (25-50mls)
Medium – Large (Pets 50-75mls)
Giant Pets (75-100mls)

Can be used as an everyday supplement to feeding. Not to be used to replace complete meals

Whilst the above is a guide, should you have a sick / recovering pet larger amounts of broth can be used to encourage eating and hydration and to build up your pet. The product can be gently warmed to encourage feeding. Temperatures must be checked before use in this way to ensure that product is not too hot for your pet.

  • Larger amounts can also be used when used for sporting dogs for rehydration and nourishment, or for when extra hydration is needed.
  • Bone broth can not easily be overdosed on, but like any food or supplement, sensible amounts should be fed per size of the pet.
  • Once the product is refrigerated or becomes cold, it will transform into a thicker syrupy liquid. This is normal and what is desired from a quality bone broth.
  • Can be fed as a room temperature liquid, a jelly from the fridge, or frozen. If desired, the broth can be gently warmed to return it to a liquid state. Always check that heat is appropriate

Storage

  • This product is designed to be stored on the shelf or in the cupboard at ambient temperatures. Keep out of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
  • Once opened refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze into portions in a silicone ice cube tray for up to 6 months.

Cat likes the product. I’m less impressed - 2 of 6 cartons can’t be opened - the screw top won’t turn/seal won’t break - leads to waste, mess and a less-than-fresh end product (hasn’t bothered the cat though). Something wrong in Karnlea quality control?

We’ve been looking for an alternative to those wasteful packaged little soup portions that you can buy that work out, very expensive and thought I would give this chicken broth.a try with fussy monster. The fist time she tried it she looked at it - then at me - then back at the broth and the rest is history. She loves it! As an addition to her normal dry all in one diet with purina soups we are changing to this chicken Broth. Peace of mine for us because we know she’s getting both the nutrition and the hydration and she clearly enjoyed it winners all - just how we like it!

My dogs absolutely love it. The only thing I noticed differently about the Chicken one was that once refrigerated it didn’t turn into a jelly type consistency like the beef and lamb one but I love it either way and it doesn’t bother me either way as my girls will devour it regardless, it’s very handy to give a little bit at night and my girls chill out and sleep like babies. I love to make freezer treats with the bone broth also which they adore too. This is a top class bone broth, and Company, they have amazing customer service also. Go online now and get some. X

    Excellent product, I have an elderly spaniel who doesn’t drink much at the best of times, but this has been a life saver during the really hot weather

    My cat Aisling had three teeth removed at Christmas. I was worried about her health afterwards as became a picky eater and she seemed low and lethargic. This broth has brought her back to herself again. She has her energy back and she looks and seems healthier. She eats the broth every day which is amazing since cats are such picky eaters! It’s reassuring to know she’s getting some good nutrition into her with the broths. Delighted I found this item.
